We started in Mohali, and that’s still where we are.
Plot 754, Sector 82, JLPL Industrial Area – if you’ve been there, you know it’s not a fancy showroom address. It’s a working stone yard in a working part of the city, which is exactly the point. When someone drives out to see us, they’re not coming to look at mood boards. They’re coming to put their hands on actual slabs, compare real materials side by side, and talk to someone who knows what goes where and why.
KMG Rocks has been operating here for five years. In that time we’ve supplied stone to homeowners building their first house, to interior designers working on luxury apartments in Mohali and Panchkula, and to contractors handling large commercial projects across the Tricity. The range of clients isn’t accidental – it comes from stocking materials at enough variety and price points that there’s something for most budgets, and from not telling people what they want to hear when it’s not in their interest.
What We Stock ?
- Granite – Indian and imported. Indian granite from Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu in everything from standard black and grey to less common finishes. Imported options for projects where the brief calls for something specific.
- Marble – Makrana and other Indian varieties for the bulk of residential work, Italian marble for clients who know what they’re looking for and have the maintenance commitment to back it up.
- Kota stone – the stone that actually belongs outdoors and in wet areas in North India, and the one we recommend without hesitation when someone asks about verandahs, terraces, or passages.
- Sandstone – Indian natural sandstone in several varieties, including paving, honed smooth, and wall cladding formats.
- Tiles – for the spaces where natural stone isn’t the right call. We keep physical stock on site. You can see what you’re buying before you commit to it.
What The Showroom Is Actually For ?
Photos on a website or samples mailed in an envelope both lie. A 10×10 cm chip of marble under studio lighting is not the same thing as a full slab in your actual space, under your actual light, next to your actual walls. We know this because we’ve seen too many clients install something that looked right on screen and wrong on the floor.
The showroom exists so you can avoid that. You can see full slabs, compare textures side by side, ask what happens to a particular marble near turmeric and actually get a straight answer, and figure out whether what’s in your head matches what’s available in reality. If something you’re considering isn’t suitable for its intended use, we’ll say so. If there’s a better option at a lower price point, we’ll show you that too.
